MUMBAI: The financial capital of India.

Image
Mumbai was formerly called Bombay. Mumbai is that part of India which works 24X7 and never sleeps. Almost all the famous stars of India reside in Mumbai in the suburbs.  Marathi is the local language but still Hindi and English are also spoken fluently.  The temperature in the city varies throughout the year. Mumbai is known for its colonial architecture. Mumbai is also considered as the best place to live for its residents.  The High Court and the Mumbai University buildings are excellent examples of such       architecture.  Winters are mild in Mumbai because it is situated in the coastal region but the weather     remains pleasant. OOTY- THE QUEEN OF HILL STATIONS

Image
Udagamandalam (also Ootacamund )and abbreviated as Udhagai and Ooty is a town and municipality in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu.  The economy is based on tourism and agriculture, along with the manufacture of medicines and photographic film.  Its natural environment attracts tourists and it is a popular summer destination. Ooty is situated in the Nilgiri hills, meaning the "blue mountains", so named due to the Kurunji flower which blooms every twelve years giving the slopes a bluish tinge. Because of the mountains and green valleys, Ooty became known as the Queen of Hill Stations. Udagamandalam was originally a tribal land occupied by the Toda along with other hill tribes who coexisted through specialisation and trade. Despite its location in the tropics, in contrast with most of South India, Ooty generally features mild conditions throughout the year. Ooty is still a supply base and market town for the surrounding area which is still largely dependent on agricultu...

Kodaikanal  or 'Kodai', called 'princess of south-Indian hill stations' (Ooty being the  queen ), I preferred to stick to  the view  that 'a hill station without snow cannot be beautiful'. Famous last words. Kodaikanal, nestled in the Palani hills of the Western Ghats, is absolutely lush green and picturesquely beautiful . Innumerable flowers, shimmering lakes, both natural and manmade, cascading waterfalls and nature trails make it a veritable garden of Eden.                                  Kodaikanal   is a city in the hills of the   Dindigul district   in the   state   of   Tamil Nadu , India. [2]   Its name in the   Tamil language   means "The Gift of the Forest". [3]   Kodaikanal is referred to as the "Princess of   ...
