CUDDALORE OR KOODALOOR (THE MEETING POINT OF RIVERS)
- CUDDALORE from ancient times is the old town which has always been seaport.
- Scholars believe the name Cuddalore is derived from Koodalur, meaning confluence in Tamil.
- It is the place where the Pennaiyar, Kedilam, Paravanar and Uppanaar rivers join.
